There is a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving season, including the wonderful mouthwatering menus our beachfront restaurants have created for you to “gobble” up. For a turkey feast with all the trimmings, go ahead and make reservations instead of cranberry sauce and stuffing and leave the cooking (and cleaning) to us.

Thanksgiving Day Activities

9th Annual Turkey Trot
All are invited on Thanksgiving morning to run, walk or jog in the 9th Annual Turkey Trot. The route for the race follows Fort Lauderdale Beach along A1A in a USA Track & Field sanctioned 5k. Your contribution to the Memorial Cardiac & Vascular Institute Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot helps strengthen our community in large and small ways. Proceeds are invested locally in an organization and scholarship committed to developing leadership and inspiring community service. Registration for the event can be done on-line or in person at one of the packet pickup locations or on-site on race day.

Funky Fun Run Thanksgiving Edition
If it's Thursday ... Work off that Thanksgiving dinner and get funky with Broward’s best fun run for all abilities! Always free, just show up at Running Wild Thursdays at 6:30 pm for a 5k run or walk ending at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort for a complimentary social with beer and refreshments. Thanksgiving Dining

3030 Ocean at Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa
Give thanks and join us for a delicious holiday meal at 3030 Ocean Restaurant & Bar, our waterfront candlelit dining experience. Listen to the gentle sounds of the sea, engage in great conversation and enjoy three courses of traditional Thanksgiving fare with a twist. The first course with a choice of roasted butternut squash soup with pumpkin seed pistou or a baby green salad with shaved pear, spiced pecans, blue cheese, and poppy seed vinaigrette. The second course is served family-style and includes roasted turkey breast and leg with black truffle, mushroom dressing, green beans with onions, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry-orange sauce and gravy. Dessert will be a pumpkin-gingersnap blondie with candied cranberries and maple ice cream.

Burlock Coast at The Ritz Carlton, Fort Lauderdale
On Thanksgiving Day, Burlock Coast is offering a buffet with meat, cold tapas, seafood, caviar, and dessert stations. The bottomless drinks package includes BC brew, rum punch, mimosas, and bloody marys. Available from noon to 8 p.m., the feast is priced at $129 per adult and $49 for children ages five through 12. A special breakfast leftovers menu by chef Paula DaSilva will be available Friday, November 23, from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Expect offerings of pumpkin spice latte, sweet potato pancakes, and turkey eggs benedict.

LuLu's Bait Shack This oceanside restaurant inside the Gallery at Beach Place will have deep-fried turkeys for pick-up. Just the turkey will cost you $64.95 (plus tax). If you want to add mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables and pumpkin pie, then the cost will be $99.95 (plus tax). Lulu’s will also be open for normal hours on Thanksgiving Day for dine-in guests with a turkey dinner special for $19.95 (plus tax), which will also include a slice of pumpkin pie.

Lona
Chef Pablo Salas plans on giving Thanksgiving a Mexican twist at this restaurant inside the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. The four-course tasting menu will be served from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. and will cost $55 per person. Dishes will include a zucchini flower empanada; cranberry and cacahuate (peanut) salad, and enchiladas de guajolote (turkey) en mole served with white Mexican rice. Dessert will be pumpkin pie.

Naked Crab at B Ocean
Naked Crab at B Ocean Resort will be showcasing their annual Fall Feast on Thanksgiving Day from 1 PM to 10 PM. Executive Chef David Morales has assembled a true sensation of seasonal flavors displayed in three distinctive stations, The Autumn Harvest, featuring flavorful salads, The Pilgrims Station piled high with traditional fares, including Roasted Herb Turkey, Smoked Maple Rib Eye, and all the trimmings, and the Mayflower’s Sugar Table with Pumpkin, Pecan, Cranberries Textures, and Sweet Flavors.

This restaurant inside the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel specializes in a fusion of Caribbean and American cuisines. So the Thanksgiving Day buffet — $49 for adults, $22 for children 12 and under — from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. will include such dishes as cider and honeycomb-roasted turkey with cranberry-orange relish, curried vegetables with quinoa and lentils, brown sugar-glazed and cured sliced ham as well as desserts such as pumpkin pie with spiced whipped cream or pecan pie with a warm vanilla sauce.
