Whoever coined the phrase “It’s a dog’s life” must have done so after a visit to Fort Lauderdale Beach.

And if you're pup needs a peer-review of his or her own, check our our very own VIP's ( Very Inquisitive Pup ) Tour With Teddy videos on our YouTube Channel or his home on Instagram

So forget boarding. Treat your best friend like, well, your best friend, and hit the road together. From spa retreats to the oh-so chic, here are the top dog-friendly hotels, restaurants, attractions and events on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

PLACES TO STAY

Luxury travelers gravitate toward W Fort Lauderdale (above) for their standout pet program. Think roomy suites and ocean-facing balconies meant for soaking up the sun, amenities like plush pet beds, and special packages such as the ‘Dogs Are A Girl’s Best Friend’ package, which includes sweet treats and a bottle of bubbly for adults, as well as bacon-flavored ice cream for dogs.

PLACES TO DINE

While most restaurants along Fort Lauderdale Beach will welcome your pet with a bowl of fresh water and a pat of the head, Quarterdeck  actually has an exclusive menu for dogs. The simple but delicious menu includes grilled chicken and rice, bacon, sweet potato treats and an unseasoned burger patty. All entrees are served with an ice cold bowl of water to wash it down. For the brunch bunch both two- and four-legged members of the family will enjoy the monthly Bark Brunch at S 3 Restaurant (above).

THINGS TO DO

Fort Lauderdale Beach is the perfect place for both you and your pets to stay and play. With nearly 265 days a year of sunshine and outdoor spaces to explore, there are plenty of places to play with your four-legged friends - including the weekly Friday Night Sound Waves concerts (above) and Saturday Farmers Market at Las Olas Oceanside Park.
