Just because Fort Lauderdale doesn’t have seasons, we can easily rely on other cues to know the winter holidays are coming up: The exuberant display of holiday lights adorning shopping districts and residential neighborhoods, Fort Lauderdale Beach’s 20′ sandman, Olas, and of course, the festive decorated boats. The swing from tropical-flavored sips to winter drinks are subtle, but these festive holiday themed cocktails are sure to spread some cheers
There comes a time in every vacation away where you seek out a downright dive bar. You say, “No, I don’t want a signature cocktail, and I don’t want to think about what my hair looks like, and yes I’m ready to act a fool when the right song comes on.” Hopefully this will lead to some of the finest hours of your holiday. Blondies not only understands this universal vacation imperative, they cater to it with an all-day happy hour from noon until close. Drink in the holidays with the BACARDÍ-exclusive cocktail, on the menu : The Grinch Who Loved Christmas, made with BACARDÍ Superior Rum, peach schnapps, orange juice, and blue curaçao. We swear, it might even make your heart grow three sizes.
Blondies is located at 229 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. There’s no name on the building, just look for the yellow awning and throngs of people out front.

Wreck Bar at B Ocean Resort
Where better for a yo-ho-ho (or a fa-la-la-la) and bottle of rum at a shipwreck-themed bar featuring naughty mermaid shows? The Wreck Bar is the signature watering hole of the B Ocean Resort, and a clever aesthetic fit into the overall property design: The bright turquoise water views and white multilevel exterior of the resort looks like an ocean liner. The pirate bar is low-lit and feels quite a bit like a cruise lounge. Drink a Dark ‘n Stormy and talk like a pirate with your friends, then head out to a nice holiday dinner or a quick dip. Looking for a tiki cocktail served with a side of Christmas cheer? Order up the Merry Mermaid, made with BACARDÍ Superior Rum, overproof rum, fresh lime and grapefruit juices, falernum, grenadine, and Angostura bitters.
The Wreck Bar is located within B Ocean Resort at 1140 Seabreeze Boulevard.
