THE GALLERIA AT FORT LAUDERDALE DONATES $25,000 TO FIVE LOCAL CHARITIES

The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, recognized as one of South Florida's premier shopping destinations for its sophisticated level of merchandising and ambiance, awarded $25,000 to Bryant Peney Scholarship Foundation, HANDY, Heart Gallery of Broward County, Henderson Behavioral Health and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. This contribution was a result of an exclusive parking arrangement with the 2016 Fort Lauderdale Air Show.

The ever-popular Fort Lauderdale Air Show returned to the area after a two-year hiatus. The Galleria leased as many as 5,000 parking spaces to the Fort Lauderdale Air Show, offering a short walk to Fort Lauderdale Beach and reducing traffic and parking concerns.

“The Galleria is proud to support a number of worthy causes year-round,” said Mark Trouba, general manager at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. “We continue to be a vital part of this community by enhancing the quality of life for locals as the place to shop, dine and relax, plus impacting tourism and helping those in need.”

Over the years, The Galleria has contributed more than $1 million for a plethora of organizations such as ArtServe, Leadership Broward Foundation, Women in Distress and Junior Achievement. Later this year, The Galleria will be the host site for the Salvation Army’s Bash Brigade and the mall’s very own Men of Style, which benefits 12 not-for-profit organizations.
