Meet the Instructor : Karen Genovese
Karen Genovese is a promising studio-art artist living in South Florida. She utilizes mixed media—anything from ink, acrylic, oil, watercolor, photography, to nearly anything else she can use as a voice to express herself—to help send a message of harmony, balance, and peace. These experiences and adventures uncovered Genovese’s love of culture and a passion for all artistic expression.  Since 2004, she has been studying at the Tobin Island School of Fine Art, where she had the opportunity to work alongside world-renowned wildlife artist, Robert Bateman. She is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, 2015, and holds a Studio Art degree.  Genovese has been published in two children’s books as a contributing artist. She has also donated several art pieces to various charities. Her art hangs in many private collections around the world. Genovese continues to find diversity and uniqueness while embracing the art world and all its glory. Currently, she is the Art Curator at Birch State Park located centrally, off A1A in Fort Lauderdale. Here, she is promoting local Florida artists who show an appreciation for the great outdoors; landscape, seascape, collage using recycled materials, and peaceful renderings in a variety of media.
