Across from the beach, the 43-year-old Bahia Cabana Waterfront Restaurant has revamped its menu.
“Our team had listened to customer feedback during the past several months, and we conducted a survey, which helped us tremendously,” said Bahia Cabana executive chef Jim Gryzbek. “Many of our customers may not realize the extensive improvements that we have made. We have expanded our dining area, added a fountain, increased our flat-screen televisions to accommodate various special events, added a host of nightly specials and increased our nightly entertainment schedule.”
New dishes include seared lump crab cake with remoulade ($10.95), shrimp and scallop ceviche ($13.95), Bahamian conch ceviche ($11.95) and several new burgers. There’s even a breakfast burger with fried egg and bacon ($13.95) and sesame-seared ahi tuna sliders with kimchee and wasabi sauce ($13.95) for diners who don’t eat meat. The surf and turf is comprised of a 14-ounce rib eye and grilled shrimp ($29.95).
