They don’t call Fort Lauderdale Beach “Yachting Capital” of the world for nothing, and our Marinas have played host to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show for more than five-decades. Fitness fans can participate in nearly a dozen Charity Marathons and Fitness Challenges along our sandy shores.

Fort Lauderdale Beach events are accessible for all ages too, from specialty tours at Bonnet House Museum and Gardens to the Great American Beach Party, Fourth of July Spectacular and Christmas favorite, Santa on the Beach.  So bookmark out site and visit often. The Friends of Birch State Park’s Living Well: Modalities of Wellness Program consists of short seminars, that enlighten and educate on the benefits of natural resources for our well-being. The sessions are designed to enhance health, vitality and awareness of our members. The Wellness Program is held at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park for our members as a way to encourage you to share in our beautiful park and connect with nature.

Free Admission! Free Drink with $5 Donation to Everglades Angels Dog Rescue

Bring your dog to the beach from 5p-6p to meet and socialize with other dog owners or simply allow your dog to enjoy the beach. Then head over to the World Famous Parrot Lounge at 911 Sunrise Lane for doggie happy hour. The dog beach is at A1A and Sunrise Blvd and north.
Look for us near the lifeguard stand!

Come out and show your support for the abandoned dogs at the doggie happy hour. Everglades Angels Dog Rescue will have great Raffle Prizes and 50/50 Raffles.

Dogs welcomed, of course! In fact , there are often dogs there available for adoption through various dog rescue groups.

****Please note that the City is now enforcing the dog permit requirements at the beach ! Annual dog permits can be purchased at the City Parks and Recs office at 1350 West Broward Blvd, $15 per dog for City residents and $22,50 per dog for non-city residents. One weekend permits can be purchased for $7 at the beach.*****
