FNSW presents: Spred the Dub

We love the South Florida audience as their energy levels transcend most others. Fort Lauderdale is home to two of our members, so it holds a special place in our hearts. What better place to play reggae and ska music? – Spred The Dub

Spred The Dub keeps crowds dancing with their own brand of “Good Time Reggae” music – infusing elements of Soul, Funk and R&B with a foundation of Rock-steady, Ska and Roots.

In addition to the cool, eclectic sounds of Spred the Dub, Friday Night Sound Waves, and the evening’s presenting sponsor, Florida Power & Light, have partnered with several local nonprofits in honor of Earth Day.

HandsOn Broward, The Fort Lauderdale Beach Sweep, Entercom’s 1THING Initiative, Kids Ecology Corps and Sunrise Paddleboards with their Trashy Tuesday waterway cleanup will be part of an on-site eco-village for concert goers to learn more about environmentally conscious lifestyles and volunteer opportunities. HandsOn Broward mobilizes thousands of volunteers each year in meaningful hands-on projects that make a difference for local communities and the environment. The Fort Lauderdale Beach Sweep organizes a monthly beach cleanup in partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale and Beach Sweep America Inc., and 1THING promotes positive environmental practices with business partners and radio listeners.

Understanding the impact of our ecological footprint is the first step to creating positive change for our planet,” said Kristina DaSilva, HandsOn Broward’s Chief Operating Officer. “HandsOn Broward is excited to be kicking off Earth Day on Fort Lauderdale Beach with so many others who are dedicated to preserving our natural resources through education and conservation efforts.”
