Miami-based artist Tony Mendoza will be showcasing his “Cafecito with the Ladies” series at Village Design on Saturday, February 25, at 6 p.m.

Mendoza, a Cuban-American, creates colorful and vibrant paintings inspired by his experiences growing up in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami. Using his surroundings as inspiration, he has managed to create a whimsical and optimistic view of society that has made him an innovative figure in the South Florida art scene.

His art reflects an optimistic, joyful and whimsical view of society. The clever use of his surroundings as a source of inspiration has catapulted him onto the South Florida Art Scene as one of its most innovative artists. Mendoza’s style is Primitive Expressionism and “Caricaturista,” a type of art that is whimsical in nature. Mendoza works mainly with acrylic on canvas” - The Miami Herald

North Beach Village Design is the latest addition to North Beach Village Resort. Located at 600 Breakers Ave., on the corner of Breakers Ave. and Terramar St., North Beach Village Design is the perfect place to relax and enjoy artwork from artists all over the world.

The gallery’s current exhibit, titled, “Live In The Moment,” features more than a dozen prints on canvas by award-winning local iphonography artist, Andy Royston. Each morning Royston uses his iphone to shoot and edit the breaking moments of dawn just steps away from the gallery on Fort Lauderdale Beach. This premiere collection was curated in celebration of Fort Lauderdale.

Additional artwork and sculptures from both local and international artists are also on display and available for purchase.
